Oh, JoAnn, isn't that the truth! It is so hard to be patient when we're waiting for sprouts. I'm trying to grow basil seeds now, and it is a long germination process. Hopefully those milkweed will pop soon!

You've got me thinking about pesto. I've never started basil from seeds, just bought plants. Good luck with yours, & happy cooking!

Yes, in all its varieties! We've had as many as six kinds in our tiny yard (which is a Certified Monarch Waystation), but they don't always come back every year. And some of them move around, which can be surprising. I'm looking forward to hosting monarchs!

Yes, I'm always cheering for milkweed, even though I know it won't be up for a while, especially in our shady backyard. Fingers crossed for sunny days!
